Behind the Wheel Program

​The student must hold a valid learner's permit or driver's license. 1-on-1 lessons are helpful for those just beginning to drive or for those who want to build and refine their driving skills. Here is a breakdown of what students can expect:

The 7-day driving course is a mandatory requirement for obtaining a driver's license in Virginia. Students are required to pass a certified Driver's Education program and have driven 45 hours (15 at night) before registering for this course.
Here's a breakdown of what students can expect from the 7-day driving course:

Duration: The course spans seven days, with each day consisting of 50 minutes of driving practice and 50 minutes of observing another student driver.

Curriculum: The curriculum covers essential topics such as traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, all parking, vehicle operation, and road safety.

Temporary License: Upon successful completion of the 7-day course, students receive a 180-day temporary driver's license. This temporary license grants them to drive on their own.

DMV- The DMV will then mail the students permanent license to their home within the 6 month time frame.
